*Update April 22nd, 2008 11:21am CST - I added a small fix to correct the estimated time remaining before you have enough of each resources to build a new field. Please re-install the script to receive the update.

I’ll admit it, I’m a total Travian addict. It’s just so fun and I’ve built so many little towns and lived through so many epic battles that I just can’t let it go. Fortunately, the server which I play on is nearing its end and the game will be reset within a month or so.

Anyhow, I’m a power gamer and I like using the best tools around. I’ve been using a script called Travian Beyond for about 8 months now and I really enjoy it. It is a script which overlays additional information, links and game play options on top of the normal Travian page. This is done using Firefox and a Firefox add-on called Greasemonkey.

Unfortunately, earlier this week the Travian developers decided to try limit Travian Beyond’s ability to add functionality to Travian. Long story short, I’ve fixed the majority of the problems that their update introduced and you can install the new version of Travian Beyond at the bottom of this blog post.

Thanks to Victor Garcia (aka Croc) for writing the original Travian Beyond and to Szabka on userscripts.org for making some further modifications. Finally, check out the Travian Beyond 3 - all language thread over at userscripts.org for further updates.

    Great!

But the map is not working properly with me..

  5. Atkins says:

Yeah, unfortunately the map (karte.php) stuff still isn’t working quite right. I figured it would be good to fix the major problems first and then work on getting that back to normal when I have some more free time. I’ll post another update when I get the map portion of the script fixed.

unfortunately, all scripts are illegal in travian.

so it doesnt really matter how “good” you are since you are a cheater.

    lol

try to play it the way its made, its a lot harder that way.

  11. Vercinge says:

Some good add ons you’ve made.

But I preferred in the old one when you preper to launch an attack, the marker automatically is on Plonder, now it is default on “back up troops”, which is kind of annoying when you plonder a lot like me. A few times all ready by mistake I’ve send troops as back up in stead of robbing the poor souls.

  12. Atkins says:

@Vercinge - Hmm, I’ll check that out when I get some time. I looked at it quickly and it’s probably a localization issue since mine still defaults to raid/plunder. Can you tell me what language your using the script with and what language your travian server is?

  13. Vercinge says:

    both danish …

also I seem to recall an overview of troops. Culturepoints. Stock, etc……… that one was really good.
But not sure if that one was a Gold user extra or part of Beyond also?

Can’t seem to find that one anymore

  14. GRG says:

    Hei !!! nice job.

Can u make the evolution line work in T. Beyond as they have in the T. Plus?
And the view of all citys in ONE as tha Plus have?

    tk´s

  15. Marco says:

wonderfull pluggin. really!! works fine for me, great help :D txs

  16. Atkins says:

@GRG - I don’t think its would really work to overlay the Travian Plus city view stuff on any of the Travian screens (Greasemonkey scripts are really best used to modify or overlay stuff on current pages). I actually just buy plus on Travian for my account. My other program naivarT, will be a Travian bot. It is a stand alone program and will have a lot of data which is as good, or hopefully better, than the Travian Plus city overview. I haven’t had a whole lot of time to work on it lately but if I get a a few free hours I can probably whip out a usable alpha version that you can try.

    Congratulations…realy works!

  18. GRG says:

GRG nice job dude your update is good as it is, but if u can make better … why not?!!! hehehe
keep me aware of your updates!!! And of course , about your naivarT too

    see u

  19. tuba says:

thanks, it works as before :)

  20. Lionel says:

Thank you for the job ;)

There’s only one thing that doesn’t function well, it’s on the map when I stay for a while on a valley, it shows me its caracteristics (9C, 6444…) but it displays a this information anywhere on the map, do you know how to disable this function ?

I hope you’ve understood my poor english :p

  21. Rik says:

Bro, you know we Travian addicts all love you right now… :)

    Cheers from Portugal!

I installed this update on two separate Firefox/Linux machines. On one, the map resource labeling worked great. On the other, the resource icon appears on the wrong square. In every case, it seems, it appears on the square that you get if you take the whole map and rotate it 90 degrees clockwise. (E.g., if your 7×7 is centered at 0|0 and you hover over 1|-1 [just southeast of center], the icon appears at -1|-1 [just southWEST of center].)

I’m absolutely baffled as to why the behavior is different on two different machines. Both are running the the en_US.utf8 locale (US English). There are different library revisions (GTK+ and the like), though.

Apart from that little annoyance, THANK YOU! This is such a wonderful script.

  23. angel says:

thx for this skript ur the best :P

After months of enjoying this add-on with my desktop Im on vacation now using my laptop and things arent the same. I thought I may need to repatch but when I did now I show double images on a lot of things and its hard to read, mainly the countdown under the top icons.

Is there some way to remove the additional add-on I just DLed? And does anyone know why the builds listed at the bottom are only in 2 columns (instead of 4 like my desktop) and only show the number of resources I need but not what resource they go to?

  29. Atkins says:

You can remove any addons from greasemonkey using the tools menu bar in firefox. It’s not a bad idea to delete old versions of your travian scripts and make sure you have the newest version. Also check and make sure that your not running two different travian beyond instances. Travian beyond has had some name changes and it’s possible to run two different versions at the same time.

  30. Agonizer says:

That was perfect, I kept going to Add-ons and couldnt find a place to manage them. I had been in a hurry to prepare for my vacation and DLed an all language Travian Beyond which was missing a lot of info and the trade was in a diff language. Anyways, thank you very much for the help.
